you really clicked each player and looked that way rather then by ratings?

VD, I was with you in saying that adding a sort feature for recruits would be bad and dumb down the game. I can now see that I was wrong.

The real skill isn't hunting and pecking and clicking on 400 different guys. The skill is taking the data and making decisions with it. Having a sort function has simply cut down on mindless busy work, it hasn't removed any actual skill from the equation.

you are wrong in saying you were wrong.

i fail to see the skill required in recruiting the highest ath/spd guys possible who have solid basketball ratings

I'm glad I was sitting down! :)

Well summarized daalter. I have always been of the belief that if a two-bit work-study person could produce a report based on the information that is given to us, give us the information in the most-user friendly way. The effort should not be in the tedious administrative busywork, it should be how you evaluate and act on the data.

I, too, think it would be nice to be able to filter by potential.

because now you can just enter the exact type of player you want and it spits out those players for you, that doesnt dumb down the game at all.

if taking time to recruit is a barrier to participation then those people shouldnt be playing.

So there is some skill involved in sitting there and just clicking on a bunch of names instead to see if they match the numbers you want? The skill is in figuring out what the right set of numbers are, not in 'advanced mouse clicking 201"
