Hoping one of you veterans can help me out to understand something.

I have a player on one of my teams that has the following salary: 4 years / $6.75MM per year. However, when I look at the Franchise Payroll Breakdown, I see an adjustment for each remaining season on his contract of -$6.423MM, which means I am only on the hook for $327K of his salary. Could someone tell me how this is possible? I've never seen this before.

I'm guessing he was released by another franchise and claimed/signed by your franchise ... your franchise is responsible for the MLB minimum and the other franchise gets hit for the rest

yea, that is what happened. First time I saw that scenario (actually, my team traded this player and then got him back through waivers).

Thx, green.
