Scouting Visits - potential Topic

I have heard many people talk about using the scouting visits to gage a players potential. In turn you may be able to get the info you need without buying scouting for the particular players state. Can some one give me an example of the different levels of potential. I have heard there is a High High, Low High, High average, low average, etc. What are those basic potential increases and how is that gaged in a scouting visit? Thanks for help.

Well, all of this info is before the new update, but ranges are like

25+ *Tremendous* upside

20-25 LOT of room for growth

10-19 - good upside if he works at it

6-9 - still some room for growth

3-6 - not going to get much more out of him

0-3 - he is just not going to improve at ______

look in the a guide for new coaches thread pinned at the top of this forum, all of the high/high potential messages are contained there on the 3rd page. the medium and low messages are pretty clear once you've seen a few. the ranges are probably 0-1 for low/low, 2-5 for high/low, 6-19 for med, 20-27 for low/high, 28+ for high/high. that is to the capped email, after which point there is often 1 point of improvement to go.

jj, it's almost always going to be more cost effective to just buy the state. The exception would be if it's a local player in a large state, then it could cost less to just scout the player.

But I'd say about 98% of the time you should buy the state.
