I'm just wondering what the highest seed was to have ever won an NC at any level in HD.

I believe I heard of an 11-seed winning in DIII once, though I could be wrong.

My NCCU team is a 10-seed in the DII NT final four in Smith, and though I'm not going to get ahead of myself and say I think we're going to win it all (I find it highly likely we'll be done after tonight in our game against Kentucky State), I'm just wondering if a double digit seed has ever won it all before in HD.

I think I saw a 14-seed in the final four once, but despite the parity (at least at DIII in most worlds) and funky engine HD has had in place for awhile now, I don't think a 15 or 16-seed has ever won it all, though I could certainly be wrong.

I made it to the NT title game as a 12 several years ago

15 seed made the DIII Final Four in Allen last season.

I'm almost positive a 16 seed hasn't won, unless it was in the very, very beginning that I'm not aware of.

Many, many moons ago, I won the DI national Title in Rupp with IPFW as a 14 seed...I believe. Given I was one of only 5 or 6 human coaches in Rupp DI at the time and I think the only human I played was in the National title game.

Didn't win the title, but lost as a 14 seed in overtime in the Final Four (D3, Wooden with Becker).

My National Championship was as a 14 seed in DII at Puerto Rico, Cayey in Naismith Season 9.

liamsar won an NT w/ Rutgers in Smith as a 14 or 15.
