ok colonels. now that i am not ****** at you for just seeing you were flooding my otherwise wonderful GLV conf chat with your rpi/rankings crap.... i would like to congratulate you are your first NT appearance. that is an awesome time and a great landmark in a coaches career. even being the last team in, against a major dynasty, its wonderful. i know first hand, my first NT ever was a CT victory with a little worse than 100 rpi, and i got the last 16 seed. guess who i was playing? none other than oldresorter and his w conn state program in the midst of the greatest run in d3 history. yeah, i got absolutely destroyed... but it was totally awesome anyway.

that said, i wish you would act with a tad more class. there is no reason to come to our conf chat and berate joco for making the PIT with the 86 rpi and a poor record. its not like its his fault he squeaked into the PIT. nobody came to you and said, damn colonels, your team had a crappy season and has no business in the NT, rant rant rant. don't you think joco is already feeling a little bit crappy about this season, not making the NT when that is the level of expectation? why would you come make it worse, it is not beneficial to anybody in anyway, anywhere, ever. please, show a little common courtesy to your fellow coaches.

and, just so you know, i really never have seen a challenge come through from you. i don't schedule early in the season, except for my couple home and homes i like to keep up with top 10 programs. i don't even check challenges unless i see one of those couple programs come through, until after non conf play is over. why? because, the more information you have to schedule, the better. i'll have more information about how good my team will be the next season, and how good everybody else's will be. so it just makes sense to wait to me. you schedule faster than that, thats fine, but just so you know, thats why i never have seen you try to schedule me...

colonels...I have a whole new appreciation for you. Congrats and great job! Also, don't let anyone tell you it was all luck. Every championship has some luck involved, but they all have some good play and coaching as well. Once again, congrats on a job well done and a CT championship earned, colonels!!!

Congrats Coloniels make sure you tell your team hit the beer gardens and live it up. Billy G i remember my first NT bid in my first season ever with Rhode Island in season 29. I met up with Taz and his Chicago teams that were pretty good back then i think i got beat like 74-29. It was a good experience.

Man oh man that siu Ed team wow. Billy G you could send me a few players over to my Rhode Island team in wooden.

congrats, but colonel we will look forward to an analysis from you as to whether the "perfect storm" that took the boys to the conference title was good randomness or bad randomness

that said, i wish you would act with a tad more class. there is no reason to come to our conf chat and berate joco for making the PIT with the 86 rpi and a poor record. I know I come on strong, but it was never about joco, its about WIS and its pracitcal sole reliance on RPI to determine who makes the tournaments and who doesn't. If I made it at 9-19, I too would expect flak, but I wouldn't take it personally...I would be ****** that I made it at 9-19 because its incredibly undeserving, regardless of how TALENTED my team is/was, the results didn't bear it out. I have nothing against joco and I apologize if it came off like that. He's been a little too defensive fwiw. its not like its his fault he squeaked into the PIT. nobody came to you and said, damn colonels, your team had a crappy season and has no business in the NT, rant rant rant. You could very easily make that argument and hell I'll make that argument against myself because I loathe the fact that CT champions get auto bids over RSCC champions in real life...I shouldn't have made the tournament and I'll be the first one to stand on that podium. don't you think joco is already feeling a little bit crappy about this season, not making the NT when that is the level of expectation? why would you come make it worse, it is not beneficial to anybody in anyway, anywhere, ever. please, show a little common courtesy to your fellow coaches. I was just making a point and am sorry that it seemingly was at his expense...it wasn't meant to be.

and, just so you know, i really never have seen a challenge come through from you. Fair enough, I have challenged you multiple times, but like you go on to say, I like to set my schedule fairly early i don't schedule early in the season, except for my couple home and homes i like to keep up with top 10 programs. i don't even check challenges unless i see one of those couple programs come through, until after non conf play is over. why? because, the more information you have to schedule, the better. Right, and I conceded the fact that you really have no business scheduling a team like me, especially when half of D2 is trying to beat the man to begin with. I completely understand this, but I thought it added value to the story.i'll have more information about how good my team will be the next season, and how good everybody else's will be. so it just makes sense to wait to me. you schedule faster than that, thats fine, but just so you know, thats why i never have seen you try to schedule me... Fair enough and I have absolutely no problem with it, just given the circumstance I thought it was noteworthy. Nice win btw.

I think you can make the argument that shenanigans were afoot when Sim AI Clayton State beat PBC #1 seed Augusta State, and I'd probably be shocked/****** if I were mkv, even though I was going to make the NT anyway. The 3 other teams I played I had beaten solidly in the regular season (Lander, NC-Pembroke, Georgia College) but with that said I didn't go into the tournament or any one game of the tournament and say/think that "I've got this in the bag". We have a new engine now so all of this is moot anyway lol.

And you once again scheduled all sims (except one) next season thereby taking a team returning all 12 players coming off a postseason appearance and all but assuring that you won't have a NT-caliber RPI.

Well played.

Its what I do, thus its not surprising. I'm a scrub pounder through and through and I don't back off this stance. By no means did I think I was going to make either tournament this year, let's face it, I pretty much lucked into the NT because all the cards fell my way. I don't play your way, I'm sorry.
