will I be able to move up to a bad D1 team with this 4 year record in D2 (oldest to most recent)?

24-9, RPI 64, PI Title Game

20-11, RPI 65, PI 2nd round

20-11, RPI 63, PI 2nd round

18-9, RPI 27, Conf Champion (in progress)

Do you get any credit for turning around a bad program? This one was really bad when I started. really want to move up. any insight would be great

You are close. Make the NT this season and win a game and you'll get a D- for sure.

probably not. but, even if you are, don't do it. d1 recruiting is a whole new ballgame, and is very difficult if you have not yet mastered d2. i would *highly* recommend waiting to move to d1 until you can make the NT fairly consistently in d2. going to d1 and getting the **** kicked out of you for 10 seasons isn't going to be very fun or very productive for your development as a coach.

agree....it is easier to learn and make the nt at D2.

Plus staying one more year will allow you to avoid starting with a D- program, and that makes a big difference. MUCH easier I think to turn around a D or D+ div 1 program.
