So we have our first game tomorrow. Brooklyn (us, cuny conference) vs. Lawrence. Vegas has us at 41 point underdogs... 41 points!! I've been looking at the other team, and I don't really see where their team is so much more talented than mine. We've been crushed in both exhibition games and are apparently going to be crushed again.
We're getting killed on the defensive end and don't seem to have anyone who can score, but again... I don't see how Lawrence is that much better.
Could someone help me see what I'm missing, so I can start to figure out how to be more competitive?

with the new release the game lines are pretty screwy, i wouldnt put too much stock into it for now

i would suggest you set your ball distribution so that your seniors are doing the large majority of your work when they're on the floor, and i'd set Ulrich to 0 because he's worthless on offense

Oh ok, well that's good to know. I have the distribution hitting mostly my three seniors, with a little for my backup pg and a little for my frosh sg who has some skill and knows a little of my offense. I'm not sure what to do on defense. We get killed inside and outside so far.
