Does HD late cycle recruiting mirror GD at all? By that, can you turn players "cheaply" if unsigned during last two or three recriting cycles before season starts?

Ultimately, does everyone sign who has the opportunity to do so?

Are there players who - even if offered a scholarship by a less-than-big time school and no one else - elect to go work on the family farm?

A few won't sign even if only one school wants them. But most will go to college if you put enough effort into recruiting them.

At this point, I'm trying to pull down a guy who still is not receiving any D-II looks. But he continues to say I'm a backup and won't take anything but a phone call. I have tons of budget ...how do I pull him down?
