Just a question, at division two . . what is the minimum amount of money you guys would say is necessary to go after a decent recruit? I am somewhat considering cutting someone and trying to fill a slot if it turns out I don't need my reserve cash right before signing . . but if its not enough to get a pretty decent player, I'll just let the guy graduate.

With no competition, maybe $800 for 2 home visits and a scholarship. If you have competition, it will be much more. And I wouldn't sign someone without using FSS, so I'd want to have $1250 or so to grab someone fair on the last or second to last day.

If I was doing a last minute recruit, I would be looking for someone very close to home anyway, to maximize $$$$. Do the cut right before signings then wait for the first batch of signings when recruits might become more pliable.
