Is the rule in HD the same as real life as in 5 years to play 4? What i mean is if a guy is ineligible for his freshman season and I redshirt him the next season is he able to come back and play 4 seasons?

The inel season is basically a redshirt, minus the improvement. You can't have a player on your team for more than 5 seasons.

Nb is correct. You cannot R/S an ineligible.
