I know you don't get any extra recruiting cash if you cut a player, but what about if they leave?

If they choose to leave, you get the cash this season. If you cut someone, you get the cash next season assuming you take a walk-on.

That is what I thought but I wasn't sure. I have a player that I wish I never recruited that I would love to get rid of. Ironically I might be forced to play him more this season due to being "light" at that position. Ideally though, I'll continue to cut his minutes big-time and he'll jump ship at the end of the upcoming season and I'll get the cash earlier than if he stays till graduation. They never transfer if they suck and you didnt promise em minutes though. At least it seems that way.

They will leave without promises, especially in d1 if you sign a juco and they don't get big minutes their first season.
