I am interested in hearing a debate on what rating corresponds most with doubles. I understand that it is a combination, but I want to hear what rating people think has the greatest impact.

contact in the 70's, power in the 60's, and splits in the 70's. That is a guess, but it seems like it would net lots of doubles.

Agreed - I think you would be looking at the guys with good but not great power (60s and 70s), and solid contact, eye and splits. I think if you add in speed and baserunning you would be looking at a triples threat.

Why would eye play a factor? He sees which pitches can be hit for doubles?

It is a combination of factors but splits are the constant. Good splits and a doubles friendly home park produces doubles for everyone.

I think baserunning more than speed. You have a guy with an 80 baserunning, and even with speed in the 50s (assuming good coaching) he'd know when to try to take the extra base.
