I went to the Start a World option to see how it works, it took me to World Sign Up. How does this work?

New world creation is currently disabled, and has been for some time.

Why not join an existing world?

I will be joining an existing world (looks like the Gerhig, as others are private).

I just like to test the bells and whistles and wanted to check it out. Thanks for the info!

If you are new to HBD and want to stay for a while I recommend joining a private world and getting a mentor. Check out the thread on mentors and sitemail a couple of them to see if they are willing to help you out. I even trade chatted with experienced owners in my worlds for specific advice and it has worked out quite well for me. Good luck.

Sure, I'm willing to jump into any League that will have me. If not, I'll just join Gerhig tomorrow.

Gehrig is a great public league and a good place to learn.
