Live tactic that drives me nuts... Topic

If your opponent changes their starter, even if you have already clicked play, you have to click it again before the game starts. If you don't notice the change and just click it again that's your own fault...

OK, but now we can play back and forth all day....u change, I change. What would be wrong with visitor choosing first?

How about man on 2nd and 3rd with no outs his 4th hitter H. Aaron at bat and he brings a pitcher to PH and he bunt with him
He said, that he did it because I bunted with runners at 1st and 3rd with my pitcher 2 inns. before
what you guys think

Sure. Bunting with the pitcher and bunting with a pinch-hitter for Aaron is the same thing. Yep. Good grief.

I respect the opinion of those on here (crazystengel and many others) who say they will bunt regardless of the realism because they can run their team how they want. I don't respect those who try to pretend it's realistic to bring a better bunter in to hit for Aaron, or the owners who against me a) used Elmer Steele (.051 avg) in to squeeze bunt for Tris Speaker (.378), b) used Ted Lilly to pinch-squeeze with Strawberry sitting on the bench, c) squeezed with I-Rod, then said it was only because he was such a good bunter.

ive replaced hitters with pitchers in similar situations, but pretty much only because i'm saving my hitter a plate appearance in an effort to curtail fatigue.

What I meant by that comment was Pudge was an excellent bunting catcher cause of his speed. In fact he lead league in dps many years and was asked to lay down a bunt on occasion in critical spots to stay out of dp. He lead the league a few times for catchers with sac bunts and had 7 in 1992 which was top 20 in league overall. A few other years he also had like 5 or 6 and thats alot more than most heavy hitters. Williams had like 2 in his 20+ year career. Never said he was Keeler or Campy. That season he was killing our team with dps and was having tremendous sucess bunting. I feel like your holding a grudge against me and put me way down the list when it comes to challenges. I have always respected your play and the prof way you carry yourself on this site and still do but IMHO I wish you would stop busting my balls over this.

I wasn't busting your balls over it. I didn't name anyone here, and was just using examples of what *** I *** considered unrealistic bunts. I've played enough leagues with you that I know it's not a tactic you use a lot. Honestly, I just looked over some notes I had of bunts that bothered me at the time, and in this case didn't even notice who the owners were since I wasn't naming anyone. I didn't realize he had seven bunts in one season; had just checked and saw 26 in 8,645 career at bats.
