This is my first season back since Season 6, so it's been quite a while...

Got an e-mail saying that a player needs at least 7-8 more minutes per game. He's a sophomore PF that isn't good at all (569 total rating), so he's my 3rd PF on the depth chart getting just 4 minutes per game.

My original plans were to rescind his scholarship next off-season since I've got no seniors and this player is by far my least useful.

So will I be better off loyalty and reputation wise if he just stays upset and transfers or if I keep him happier and then rescind???

If a player transfers because he's upset and you haven't promised him minutes, it would hit your rep at all. However, cutting one player that the sim recruited won't have a tangible effect on your rep, either.

Most players who complain don't transfer, though some do. If you don't want to play him, I wouldn't play him and just take your chances that he transfers.

The other thing to keep in mind is that if you rescind his scholarship next offseason, you will not get any recruiting money for him until the season after that. So you will have the one open spot, but the only recruiting cash that you will have is from tournament money and any carryover that you have.

But, like dalter said, there is no reason to keep him happy if you don't want him.

Thanks guys for the great info! I've got more than $2.5k over, so hope one of my conference-mates does ok in tourney since I've got no shot. I could still get a better player with current cash than this disgruntled player is anyway.
