So what does everyone think? Topic

I'm curious. Admittedly I know very little about the engine before, the engine now, and the differences. Frankly, my team in Allen isn't good enough for me to notice, and after getting obliterated in recruiting, I only have an 8/9-man rotation, so I could easily be missing things anyway.

I know the common specific complaints, and I know many think the rollout was premature, but overall, how do you guys feel about the engine right now? Totally effed? Perfect? Bad, but can be fixed? Good, but need some small tweaks? Feel free to add your own ;)

Oh, and do people think that any issues will be ironed out quickly? I know I saw someone post a response from CS saying "HCA is working as intended." Are we back to that, or will they continue to tweak it?

Good, need some tweaks.

Need D1 players to get generated in Puerto Rico, and some players to be generated in Mexico (Can anyone in another world say if this is fixed? Its broken in Allen & Crum)

HCA seems a little too strong...tough to tell from my point of view, will have a good feeling after conference play when I get a lot of home/away splits. I think CS is probably trying to gather some data and will make a change if needed, maybe in 10-15 days.

Another concern is the # of blowouts, but maybe that was always the case, I have a hard time remembering, and have had some close games. Maybe its a product of introducing more man to man results, maybe I remember the close games more, and maybe its a product of reducing variability in W/L results (albeit in a lousy way, rather reduce the std dev instead of moving the average)

I do think things will be ironed out in 3-4 weeks. I mean, compared to the first exhibition game 3 weeks ago, where players ignored +/- settings and distribution and everythig was totally f'ed up, we have come a long way, and there have been 3-4 updates since then, so 2-3 more and we should be into a pretty stable place.

Tark and Smith have no DI recruits available in Mexico and 2 each in PR, although all 4 PR recruits have ratings <500 and 3 out of the 4 would be very solid drop/pull downs to DII.

Generally agree with reinsel's view on the new engine - tends to be more blowouts then I think we should see and I'm still not completely conviced that elite post players can actually be elite, but generally it is solid.

My problem with this is that if it only takes a few weeks (one season in each world) why was this not fixed in beta testing. And, if the answer is different servers and unexpected results, we should be reimbursed for testing the program and finding bugs. One free season for each team coached would go a long way with me.

I think there is still room for improvement. I think there are way too many blowouts and crazy results (i.e. winning by 50 at home and losing by 13 on the road). Not sure if it is HCA or what. Still not thrilled with customer service or how things were rolled out and are changing on the fly.
