I've seen some threads mention HCA...is the thought that it matters/helps too much or too little, because I have a theory of my own, but I don't want to senselessly gripe, not that I was going to to begin with, its just frustrating losing to sims. Thanks

Depends on division. I don't think there's much of a gripe at the D3 level. It's D1, and the complaint is that it's too high in terms of creating blowouts that should be close games (regardless of who wins).
