video game companies take beta testing seriously....

So you think nerfing is an urban legend then? It doesn't really happen?

Am I correct???

Let's see. I don't respond to your whole post and just give a snarky response to your opening line, and you bust my balls for it.

When I have time, I then go back and respond to your whole post, point by point... and you bust my balls for it.

So what you're essentially saying is that you have zero interest in discussing anything, and are just posting because you like you hear yourself type. Clackity clackity clack.

Amirite

Thats funny, like I said the point of my original post was that WIS didn't take the Beta testing seriously, because companies like Apple & the video game companies have their own dedicated team of testers that fix, and tweak and correct the issues. Then I believe it goes out to a dedicated bunch of customers who test, and catch, and report any problems, then it goes back to the company with their reports and they fix, and tweak it some more before the final launch.

That is clearly not what happened with this new release, and now WIS is charging its customers to do more Beta testing essentially for Free (For Wis) and the customers have to report, find, and issue the problems they are finding that they are essentially paying for.

No question I wasn't happy with the Beta. It could've and should've been run better.

That said, making a comparison to Apple or any other major company is completely absurd. They're dealing with very limited resources here (it's basically seble and his imaginary friend Sergio, who's a great guy but tends to get distracted very easily) and you're talking about how massive corporations would handle a major roll-out. That's pretty much a joke.

Again, beta could've/should've been handled better. But let's be realistic.

Isn't WIS owned by Fox? I think Fox is a pretty big coporation or company on its own.

So I don't think it's completley absurd, Fox has the resources, and if WIS doesnt, then more to the fact then they should have did more, and could have did more, before rolling it out.

They have them> THey just hide them in 'upgrades' and 'additional options'. Then they don't have to _call_ them patches.

If you think Fox would blink an eye if WIS shut its doors tomorrow, you're kidding yourself.

You guys are totally missing the point of my original post, but whatever,

Do I think Fox would blink an eye if they shut down WIS Tomorrow Nope I don't think so, I was just making a statement, that Fox has the resources to support WIS if needed since they are owned by them. If they are not given the resources to support it, then thats a whole other major problem going on.

And if WIS doesn't have the resources then they should have did more before rolling it out. That is all
