Wis could get ahead of the curve on this and have a marketing plan as well.

"Play the future now!" could be the slogan and HD could have the D1 world redesigned into the real life conferences and teams. I know they might need to create "fake" schools to fill in gaps in D2/D3 but they could also just take some of the non-NCAA schools as well to do that job.

In the end after all the conference shifts are done WIS would roll out that post season new Conferences and Baseline prestige based on 2010. This not only would allow you to play what the future of Basketball would be but also make the baseline prestige match up with real life again.

Only problem I see is trying to guess at a few schools that will be going from Mid-Major to "Power" conference if the Big 12 ends up stay afloat or combining with another conference like the WCC or Mountain.

Oh also, if you think making up the schedules for these conferences would be hard it really would not be. They just need 3-4 random assignments based on how you finnish in your half of the conference and design byes so that leagues that have uneven teams still work out to the normal number of byes for the season. (Maybe they can have the 11th game in preseason be a conference game for some of them even)

the reason something like this wouldn't work is because the most important aspect of conferences in HD is the bond between the conference members. i would be ****** if i was in the big 12 and it got broken up, and i think most coaches would feel the same way. i could see making new worlds match the new model, but never the old ones.

im not saying its a bad idea from a marketing standpoint... but it gets pretty hairy in the implementation of the idea.

I guess so haha. Some of the guys are just stuck in the thought of HD2004 it seems. Personally I always thought that HD should mirror the actual conferences instead of being fake.

I understand the thought of being in the Big 12 though and getting split up, but doesn't that make this game even more real? You have no choice the WIS (Administration) is making the choices for you.

Oh well, just a thought and I am smart enough to know they will never make a new world. Not at least for a few more years. Although I think it would be cool if they did if they got 150 people to sign up for 10 seasons.

Three thoughts:

1) more worlds is not what HD needs right now.

2) Let's see what happens with real life and get it stable for a few months before implementing any changes in HD

3) Keep the focus on improving the engine. Its 85% of the way there I think.
