I got it!  It was one of those 'Bounce A Billion' Bricks, where the darned thing won't get off the rim... every one else was poised and ready to strike on a Normal Bounce.  Mears just jogs on in, more drawn towards the bouncing and wanting a better look.  Everyone else has already started to relax, seeing there set up was wasted, and luck has it that the ball FINALLY finds enough of the Outer Rim to come off, with Mears already between the Big Men.  He hops up and puts it softly off the glass while others are late in getting their 'Gather' to get off the ground.

  For the 3 missed from the Corner earlier, I envision a Micheal Jordan "Miss FT Dunk".  He releases, knows it's off so he's sprinting in.  The ball comes off HARD and right back to the corner.  He leaps from about 11 Feet Out (FT is 15, and more than 1 has dunked from there) and catches the ball at the peak, bringing down the Thunder Dunk to the approval of the entire Crowd.  Just a wild and crazy guy getting the drop on everyone by taking a "Leap of Faith" from the corner!

  Oh yeah!  I can get behind some plays like that!  "Like Mike, if I could be like Mike!"

On the other hand, it seems that there is a lot less fouling on three point shots which used to happen too often in the old engine.

  Is "a lot less" of something that 'used to happen to often" meaning it's about right now?

I've only seen ten games under the new engine but so far so good as far as fouls on three point attempts.

I had the same thing happen to me. SG puts up a 3 and misses, 2 seconds later he tips it in.

As someone already mentioned in this thread, I saw Larry Bird do this, more than once.

Then again, Bird continued improving his FT% each year until he was 32 or 33 years old, so he clearly didn't play by HD rules.
