I have a decent player who got injured this season, and my medical budget is at 9. His injury is extensive enough that it will carry over to next season. My question is, if I increase it by 4 so that the medical budget is now at 13 for next season come budget time, will the increase kick in and help him recoup some the rating points he lost for this injury?

Like I said, he's not a super star, but a decent major league player when/if he tops out on his projections. Just curious about the medical and how it works.
