Side note: Since when was the BCS involved in basketball? I think major,  mid major and low major is acceptable.  BCS has nothing to do with basketball.

The BCS conferences are the dominant HD DI conferences and have virtually all of the teams with high baseline prestige.

Cheeze is right.  You need to know what you are doing before you get to a power 6 job.  Its brutal if you are bad.  I thought I knew what I was doing and I absolutely got crushed my first season recruiting at Florida.

NO Hiring is broken in the new engine period.  You can't even break into DI with modest success like you could in the old engine.  With the old engine, 4 or 5 seasons and an NT and you could at least get a D- school.  Now, 7 seasons and 4 post season trips later, still not qualified for anything.  HD is on life support at best right now.  You have top coaches leaving well established teams and DII coaches that can't even break into the DI circle at the bottom level to build themselves up to reach the higher levels and replace those coaches leaving.  Sad.
