I promised a player 15 minutes and for the most part he was getting pretty close to that however over about a 7 game stretch towards the end of the season he never played 15 minutes in any game and then I got a complaint email from him, so I did what I could to up his minutes. In the last 2 games he's come off the bench and played 15 minutes and in the other he started and played 19. Overall he's playing 13.3mpgs and now I'm into my conference tournament. I didn't get much notice to up his minutes and I'm worried he may transfer since promises go out the window once the CT starts and even if I up his minutes in the CT it may not matter. His WE has gone up 1 point this season so he hasn't made a big fuss, so do I have anything to worry about? 

I believe kmason that you'll get at least one or two more complaint emails and the last one will talk of leaving the program.

If his WE hasn't moved into the negative range at this point of the season, I'd be surprised if he left.

Usually a guy needs to have a big WE drop to transfer. If it drops a point or two, then your safe. But anything more and it could be trouble. Versus the crappy teams in your conference tourney, I would play him like 20 minutes, but focus on winning in the NCAAT because you have a great team.

Cool thanks guys. I was pretty sure I had nothing to worry about but I have just never been in a position where I got a complaint so late in the season that I didn't have the chance to really do anything about it.

Last year at MSU i offered a guy 30 mpg and a start to fill a final spot to get carry over money. He was a juco 2 and i expected him to leave seeing as he only played in 9 games and only played 11.7 mpg in those games. Somehow, he decided to stay.
