Hey guys we are heading into a rule 5 roster freeze and unfortunately something happened to my edit rosters page. I had two free agents and 4 players via trade join within the last few hours. Sent a ticket to admin and tried to do some things that might open that page up for me but no luck. I am the only one having trouble.

My question is, is there a grace period for new signings? If so I am fine because I had all of my other guys taken care of. I'm just worried about the new guys since my edit rosters page may not be functional until tomorrow.

Did you try a different browser?

I would definetely post something in the world chat explaining your problem and letting them know which players you did not have a chance to save. If any of the players are signed to multi-year deals, they are safe anyways.

Yes, there is a grace period for last day signings / trade acquisitions.  They should be exempt from being exposed to R5.

Are you sure, because I lost a player in the R5 that I had traded for. I acquired him the cycle before the R5 roster freeze and did not have a chance to get to the computer.

From the 7/31/2007 update:

Improved the Rule 5 Draft player availability process. Any player acquired the 24-hour period prior to the Rule 5 Draft Roster Freeze is no longer exposed in the Rule 5 Draft. This is to handle the situations where a free-agent signed late, a trade was processed at the last minute or a waiver claim was processed and the owner didn't have time to add the player to the 40-man roster.

Thanks guys that was extremely helpful. I have tried two different browsers and 3 different computers (home and work). See I didn't know about the change because I am just starting HBD again after roughly a 2 year hiatus. But you are absolutely right... Back in the day, I remember the very first season that rule 5 was introduced and it was a mess. All kinds of players got drafted that should not have been drafted under the current policy.
