I feel like these should be a little bit higher. I mean, what real basketball player has zero knowledge of a motion offense, a zone defense, and a man defense? Even when you bring in a stud freshman, they're just not really ready to be anywhere close to a game-changer. And freshmen game-changers are now the norm in college, especially at d1. I mean, I just don't see how a player in HD could be a Greg Oden, Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, or John Wall type with F or even C IQ's.

I woudl second to a degree:  At the very least there should be less d- and f IQ grades.

Yes 100%

I agree

That, and have work ethic more correlated to rate of IQ improvement.   No reason every player should top out at A.... have some guys top out at B or B- and then IQ actually matters.

wouldn't that make work ethic matter more too?

nameless- i agree with you, but just throwing out the other side here.  just because a player has knowledge of motion offense in general, they do not know the way theit new team runs the motion offense.  for example, a top rated high school player may run the motion offense at his school, but when he gets to the college level, the cuts may be different, the timing may be different, etc.  so i look at the lower rated IQs this way.  they may know the offense in general terms, but are low IQ while learning the new system they will be in for hte next 4/5 years.
