I am seeing alot of 1 ath, 1 spd, PF and C but with 50+ reb, blk, LP. Are these players good or bad?

Hi Tianyi, I'm sure someone much more experienced can give you a better anwser, but usually that's not too good.  Speed for a C (keep in mind, the positions listed aren't where they have to play) isn't too critical in most coaches opinions, but ATH tends to positively or negatively impact a players performance a lot.

Also remember your offense/defense.  Since you run man to man, slow, un-athletic players may get schooled on the defensive end, even with a high DEF rating.

Hopefully someone with a much better record than mine can offer more insight, as you can see I'm just painfully average .

I'd avoid the extremely low ATH rated players. It affects too many other areas.

For bigs I would avoid low ATH, but at DIII and even sometimes DII you can get away with a low SPD C.  I'm not sure I would try it with a PF, but not much issue with low SPD C's.  I distinctly remember having a C with 6 SPD on my Championship game Assumtion team way back when.  At DIII you should be fine, but keep the ATH high.

i think spd should never be below 15 and ath never below 20

Ok thanks.

So for a rebuild like my team, would you focus on the players with mediocre cores high WE, with high potential in core areas, or go for the high core low WE, high potential ones?

Any experience coach willing to help me a little and offer some advice on which 4 of my current 10 targets I should go for? If you are willing to offer some help, please sitemail me, or post here, so I can sitemail you.

It's pretty much impossible to gauge unless we know their potential status in the major categories. But, if you'll site mail me, I'll be glad to offer an opinion.
