Should fall off the list if they do not get at least 2 (or 3) votes in the previous year.  It would clean the list up a lot.  Right now there are so many people on it that it is too much work to go through it.

+1.

I'd also like to see how many votes each nominee received after the voting has completed.

I'm surprised that any suggestion that says "it is too much work to go through" would get any +1.

HOF voting is voluntary.   If it's "too much work", don't bother.   I know those 6 days of spring training are hectic days so I guess I understand why owners don't have time for it.

Its voluntary, and I like the idea of it, just thought they could improve the experience by doing this, which is why I posted here, in this section.  If someone doesn't get 1 vote, he's not going in...  Maybe they put in a much higher standard, and call it a "veteran's committee" one time return to the list if the players stats are that good.

I could care less about the original thread suggestion. But this is absolutely something I wish we could see.

This was the fear that we had when we released the HOF. If you remember back when it was announced we had very stringent guidelines for becoming a nominee. We relaxed those criteria so that more players would be available. Player's do fall of the list if they are nominated (5 seasons is the limit). That page takes way to long to load right now as well and we are looking into that.

JMO- it shouldn't be a flat number of seasons, it should be a number of seasons vs. votes.  For example, if a guy has been nominated two years in a row, and received 0 votes, he should probably drop off.  But if a guy was one vote short in his 5 nomination, I'm not sure he should drop off.
