GPA Question(s) Topic

Just one for now.

1) Does time in study hall prior to the first mid-term report impact anything?

I ask because I have a player who has been getting 86 minutes in study hall, but just posted a GPA (2.7) below his cumulative average (3.1) and he got to the 3.1 with far fewer minutes in study hall.

Most of the time, increased study hall leads to improved GPA. But, that's not a set rule and, occasionally, your situation occurs.

Yes, 4green, I've given 80+ in study hall before, too.  It was a DII ineligible player who wasn't allowed to play or practice his freshman year.  So study hall was all he had.

I just had a similar case.   I started a sophomore out with 2 minutes of study hall and he pulled a 2.9.    I stayed at 2 minutes and he went up to 3.3,   I stayed at 2 minutes and he's now 1.7. OUCH
