What is "worth" more 2 CV or 5 HV?

That's the ratio at which I decide it doesn't matter which is used.

Is that the general consensus among recruitign experts?
8/9/2010 12:13 PM
I think that is roughy correct.  Obviously it is not 100% but I think it is very accurate.

so you're saying if, moneywise, I can get more than 2 CVs per 5 HVs, I should go all CV? and vice versa?

Correct.

I agree with the conversion rate above, but with one caveat: in D3, if the cost is close for both 2 CV's and 5 HV's, I always go with the HV's. The reason is you may only need (for example) 60% of that recruiting value to get the recruit you want. So you could get him for 3 HV's, but if you go all-CV, you'll still need 2 CV's. The smaller incremental cost of HV's often makes them, imho, a better value.

Agree with bhan. At D3, you have to be so careful with your money. If you are in a battle, then worry about teh 2.5HV = 1CV rule but generally, I can get even top recruits to consider me for a couple HVs, schollie and a few calls and letters. That can save you a fortune and considering most D3 recruits are won by the first team to jump on a guy as most coaches don't want battles, although you will see some...

I dunno, there are less quality recruits under the new engine and battles might become increasingly common even in D3.  I just missed the first day of recruiting and am pretty much battling at least 1 and in some cases 2 schools for the decent recruits in my area.

That being said, some of the battles haven't been incredibly expensive...
