agreed. before i got to kentucky in the SEC, the coach went 9 seasons without making one NT. they made the NIT once. it was in their 7th season or so, and CS said that the coach probably would have gotten fired at that point but the NIT "saved" him for a couple more seasons.
comparing to real life, an elite school coach gets 1 NT miss if they are lucky (in a short period, at least). i don't want to see it become that severe, but there is a happy medium. more importantly, the standard at an elite and a low grade big 6 school *needs* to be different. and its not.
