Just saying. When you have one coach at 6 seasons and an NT and is in jeopardy and another who hasn't had a winning season in 9 and gets a prestige bump, there is an isssue.

Yeah, I think if this happened people wouldn't want new worlds so much. The problem is, most people have a 'dream job', but a coach can camp at it with below average seasons. This has been much needed now for time, and I hope they work on it.

Agree with both of these posts.  If firings are going to be part of the game, at least put some teeth into it.  Understand about the risk of ******* off long time users who got their dream job, but what about those long time users who can't get THEIR dream job because a below average coach with a below average resume is blocking their way.

Agreed 100%. If you don't make at least one PI in four seasons, you should be gone, no questions asked. There's plenty of leeway there for a decent coach to do something, ANYTHING, but it'd still clear up one or two Big 6 jobs every year.

Atleast at high majors.

agreed. before i got to kentucky in the SEC, the coach went 9 seasons without making one NT. they made the NIT once. it was in their 7th season or so, and CS said that the coach probably would have gotten fired at that point but the NIT "saved" him for a couple more seasons.

comparing to real life, an elite school coach gets 1 NT miss if they are lucky (in a short period, at least). i don't want to see it become that severe, but there is a happy medium. more importantly, the standard at an elite and a low grade big 6 school *needs* to be different. and its not.

miss the NT at duke or nc and you lose all your remaining seasons not questions asked. lol, oh also at arizona you can go 20 years without a nt since everyone knows they suck when they make it anyways.

i am all for ramping up the firings though. I know i want to coach at wisconsin some day if i make it to that level but with no firings its pretty rare of a chance then.

As long as the firing logic includes canning swampy at Purdue/Allen, I'm all for it.  Just dreadful:
