Irregardless of position and need, which player is the best among these 5?

It's impossible to say this with certainty without knowing what system you run, but all other things being equal, I'd take player #4. He might end up a step slow, but with the high potential in athleticism, low-post, and perimeter, as well as a pretty decent starting point in rebounding, you could probably mold him into a solid 2-3 hybrid.

I'm running Triange/M2M.

Without position and need it's impossible to say.  They all have strengths and they all have weaknesses.  If "(ir)regardless of position and need" means you think your team is solid as-is, I would go after #5.  He's offensively worthless but just good enough at passing and ball handling not to be a liability.  Meanwhile he can become a lockdown defender that you could use as a spot-starter against teams with elite scoring guards.  On the other hand, if his defense is low-high he's really pretty worthless.

Actually, between these 2 PG, who would you take:

I believe #2 is the better player, but the WE is scaring me.

PG 1: 43 WE
Athleticism 43 Low   Perimeter 41 High
Speed 67 Average   Ball Handling 71 Average
Rebounding 2 High   Passing 33 High
Defense 34 Average   Stamina 60 Average
Shot Blocking 1 Average   Durability 50 High
Low-post 1 High   FT Shooting   High

PG 2: 15WE
Athleticism 54 Average   Perimeter 45 Low
Speed 57 High   Ball Handling 49 High
Rebounding 1 Low   Passing 44 High
Defense 51 Low   Stamina 57 High
Shot Blocking 1 Low   Durability 27 High
Low-post 15 Average   FT Shooting   Low

Out of curiosity, suppose you have a PG with 35/85 ath/spd, and another with 80/60 ath/spd, with all other stats equal, which one would you take? I know spd matters more for PG but would you take a PG with such skewed attributes?

anyone, how would you weigh ath/spd for PGs?
8/31/2010 8:11 PM
35/85. I just think speed is sexy.

pg2 and sg1 are best
