+1

Second year is usually the break even point where it costs just as much to go LT starting with the current season than to arb for the current season.

My only concern is will I be able to aford the contracts if I arbitrate everyone atleast once. Especially with 16 arb. Next 3 seasons and with atleast 6 of them probably gonna demand 6-8 mil. On long term deals

Welcome to the challenge of running a franchise in a dynasty game.

It becomes a bit of a challenge if you bring a handful of players up at once.  They'll all be FA-eligible at the same time if you keep arbing them.  I tend to lock up a few of the cheaper ones earlier to avoid the 9 first time FA situation.

that's what i am thinking of doing

if possible, you can front-load a contract or two.  if you have the cap room one season, give out 2-3 $10M bonuses, and keep the yearly salary lower.  that also increases the trade value of the players.

I always arb guys twice unless they are a superstar who I don't want to risk losing. I've never had a guy leave after 2 arbs. They've always signed. Arb 3 times and you're really risking them leaving, although I have had a few guys agree to stay even after 3 arbs.

Assuming that the player wins the arb in his first arb year, will his long term demands in his second arb year be the same as his long term demands were in his first arb year?
