The last 2 games my starters have gotten into some pretty serious foul trouble. My question is why? I understand my posts in both games were overmatched in terms of speed (which I think shouldn't matter much under the basket), but my guards were never out-matched in speed, and have (what I would consider for DIII) decent defensive ratings and IQ.

Springfield @ Maryville
Pacific @ Springfield

*please note - I am not complaining that I lost both of these games, they were both good teams. I am simply curious why in consecutive games all of my starters have gotten into foul trouble.

More comments: if you care to look, My team also got in foul trouble in the game before these 2 against Utica, mostly because of a speedy SF. Additionally, 3 of my starters, with IQs above A-, have at least 15 fouls each over only 5 games.
