Jesus Abreu has removed in the bottom of the 6th inning of a 2-2 game after throwing only 68 pitches.  He was on a pitch count of 105/125 and had a pull rating of 3.  He was fully rested coming into the game.  No indication of injury in the box score.  He was lifted in the middle of the inning for no discernable reason that I can find.

What am I missing?

Wouldn't it be awesome if he showed up injured on an off day?  Like "tightness, forearm".

Then I think we'd be more accepting of the off day injuries and WifS' reasoning for them(sometimes injuries occur in games but aren't diagnosed until a few days later).

It's not so awesome when it's your own guy, but I do agree with where you're coming from.

If a player was pulled for a reason like that, it might be nice to see something in the boxscore that indicated it "J. Abreu was removed as an injury precaution after the previous play", or something like that.
