when does a nonqualifier decide about SR5 season? Topic

is it in the same cycle as early entries leave for the draft?  I think so, but it has been too long .....really need a nonqualfier to return......hoping it is already decided...

pretty sure it is-- if he's on your roster after the EE guys fall off for draft, he's on it next season.

Yep, same cycle as the early entries. As long as you don't hear anything, he'll be back. No news is good news.

So if you recruit a non qualifier he will automatically come back after his senior year and play his 4th year as a 5th year senior?

In D2 he does, not in D1.

In D2, you have to keep track of the non-qualifiers. When the roster lists him as a senior, he will actually have  two seasons left.  It can mess up your recruiting plan if you forget this.

I do wish that there was a flag on recruits indicating that they had been redshirted and a different flag indicating that they were originally nonqualifiers... since they dont flag NQs, I tend to record that info in the notes box in the office screen.....

consistent with Dean Wermer's emphasis on our academic mission, we have four nonqualifiers on the roster at Oklahoma....

the only way to check (and I check all of my seniors at season's end after a (pleasant) surprise 5th year SR returned) anyway, to check you need to open the player window by clicking on him and then go to the statistics tab. It will show there is he was ineligible 1st season

using the office notes feature to note this info is a great idea...

I think it is the best we can do - there should be a little symbol - an aserisk or a dunce cap or something next to guys who were nonqualifiers on your roster
