Does ineligible count against "Max 6" Topic

Does anyone know if you have 7 openings can you recruite 6 Freshman then 1 ineligible guy? Or does the ineligible guy count agains the "max 6" you can have per class?

I believe it is no more than 6 per graduating class, and since ineligibles aren't guaranteed a 5th year (assuming you are DI), I believe they would count as a 7th freshman.

no.  he would be the 7th FR.  even though he is inelligible, he is still a part of that incoming class

That is correct, he does count as part of the class.  I submitted a ticket to ask that question a while back and CS confirmed it.

So you could have 3 in one class, 6 FR the next year, redshirt a regular player in the class with 3 to give you 7 SO, and then redshirt one more guy after that who is a JR, which gives you 8 JRs. By then, the 3 guys hopefully all come back for a 5th year, and you got 11 SR.

Or find a sim that has recruited decent players- they are exempt from the superclass rule

Are we 100% sure if you already have six freshmen it will let you RS a soph? Not saying you can't, just not so sure.
