For an acceptable/good starting PG at dIII, what would some people here consider the minimum Speed/Pass/BH?  How much more important is the PASS than the BH? Would a 54 Pass and a 64 BH, to go with a 66 speed be an 'acceptable' pg?

p vs bh depends on your offense you run....

some need lots of dribbling (FB), while others need passing (motion/triangle)

all in all i would say set is not the most important factor for what your pg needs. i look like this. if your pg is a true pg, and doesn't score much, pass is significantly more important than bh. if your pg is meant to score a solid amount, bh closes the gap a lot. if your pg is meant to score a crap load, bh might even be more important than pass. what set you run probably affects the bh/pass trade off a lot more for scorers than non scorers, and i honestly am not sure any coach knows which is more important for which. my personal opinion differs from many and i've never heard a consensus.

is that the spd/bh/pass you are projecting him out to or what he has now? what he will be as a junior is a lot more important than what he will be now - but if those are the numbers he is at now, good chance he is going to be a good pg.

That is his numbers now.  Davis has undergone allot of development this season and has been playing at Shooting guard and I was wondering if I should move him to PG. He's just finishing his SOphomore season after three mroe days of the regular season and then the CT.  GIven 16 points of improvement in Passing I figure he might improve some more again next year, I am hoping, at least from his initial scouting reports, that he has at least 5 or six more points of passing and Perimeter development left.  BY default he has been one of my top scorers, I am hoping in the future that Franklin can take more of the Guard scoring load.  Possibly Poche at some point and Ferrel can contribute some points in the post.

yeah, he will be a solid pg. but it really depends on your other players. say you don't have as good a pg option, and have another good sg option - then yes, move him. but say you have as good a pg, who is more of a true pg - then you get better synergy by playing that guy at pg and this guy at sg :)

INcidently, its been a while, but that you for your(Very) thorough analysis earlier in the other thread with the recruiting class .  Gave me allot of food for thought.

I agree with gillispie's assesment. BH matters more for scorers, so if you want your guy to be a scoring option you want his BH to be solid but since he's a PG you also want his passing to be solid. I think this guy would do very well as a scoring PG he's actually really similar to a guy I have on my Cal. Santa Cruz team. Unless you have a bunch of studs I would give Davis a top 3 distro on your team.
