I was hoping to get some feedback.   I always seem to have trouble with setting the distribution for my players.  I usually end up with a bunch of 8s and 9s with a couple of 12.   Whenever I do that the 12 usually only get like 2 more shots a game, yet I dont want the other players not to have plays called for them..  Does the engine go to the player who is having the most success or is it just a random thing based on the distribution.
Can anyone share what type of disto they would do for this team.    If you want a player to get the most shots how do you set it, ie do you set the starting 5 independent of the backups, and have a seprate set for the second string?   Curious and would apppreciate some input in general on this subject.  I seem to play some teams that have guys score like 24 points and more and was wondering what type of ditribution they use to get that result.

Not an expert, but FWIW. . . .

I have sort of fallen into the pattern of generally doing distribution by 'tiers'  I rate each player's offensive skillset as either tier one, tier two or tier three.  Tier one would get something like a two distro.  tier two would get a four distro.  Tier one would get an eight distro.  Of course, not really doing that on this year's team because it has all sorts of new players, was goign to lose anyway, and I wanted to see how certain players reacted to different distributions.  I don't even really pay attention much any more to if they are in the starting lineup or not;  just how good they are offensively.

1) The engine doesn't care which player is having the most success. It's based more on your distribution

2) I set my starters and backups independantly.  I have one team where my leading scorer is my 6th man. He can shoot but is lacking in other skills.

3) Based strictly on last season's stats, I see your distribution as Fraser 22;  McClure 16; Sharpton 15; McColley 14; Flesher 13; Favporate 12; Floyd 8.   However, I alter my distribution every day...taking into account which players have the hot hand and the strength of their defenders.  If Floyd, for instance, performs well for your team, he may end the season with the highest distribution.

4) I never give more than '25' to any one player. I never give more than '1' to a freshmen unless my team is hopelessly out of contention for the NT or PIT.

Based strictly on your most recent  lineup and season's stats:

Scheonstein 21; Barnes 18; Lillitbridge 15; Gore 8; LeBlanc 14; Taylor 1; Elder 8; Kuhlman 6; Herb 5; Combs 4; Wieberg 0

THank you  any one else have any thoughts or distribution theroies?

Simply going from the top down, I would give Combs 5, Barnes 15, Elder 9 (but I'd find a way to get him more if he played some minutes at SF), Taylor 3, Wieberg 2, Lillibridge 9, LeBlanc 7, Herb 11, Gore 7, Kuhlman 6, Schoenstein 8, and Wolf 1.  I would then adjust people that were shooting well up until their shooting percentages started to drop...  I often start the season with total distro in the low 80s based on what I initially think my guys should be able to do and then push the ones who overperform my expectations up without often having to drop anyone's distro.  It seems to work pretty well, but I'm anything but an expert and have never played D2, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt...  Against man defenses it's very easy to up the distro for guys you expect to see a lot of minutes against weak defenders and drop it for guys with tough matchups.  Against a zone you can sort of redistribute your distro based on whether the other team's defense is stronger inside or outside and with a greater emphasis on perimeter and a lesser emphasis on speed as far as your guards and 3-point shooting SFs are concerned...
