i made the final four in Knight in d1 this past season, and unless i'm mistaken i think it was pretty much with seniors who i recruited prior to the change,

Unless you somehow magically redshirted them all then I'm pretty sure you recruited them after the change.  That doesn't change the fact that you may have had a bunch of seniors.  But I'm fairly certain last season was at least season #4 with the new recruits in Knight.
