Defensive position change Topic

I just signed an international free agent and he is a shortstop.  He is a good hitter, but his defensive ratings are not that good.  Is there a way to change his natural position while he is in the minors and will his rating go down if I force him to play the 3b or the OF?

yes, click on his position in the GM page.

No, his initial ratings will not go down. There is some debate as to whether he will progress as well at 3B than if he were to remain at SS. But changing postions doesn't change ratings.
