I just signed this guy [URL=http://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=3664121]Orlando Polonia[/URL] , he wasn't asking for MLB contract, but I gave him one anyway.  I don't usually play with big IFA's, was it a mistake to not just stay with MILB offer?

The only differences between a MLB and a MiLB contract in this case is is (a) you're going to be paying around $300k more per season for the next three seasons, and (b) he's burning his options now instead of later.

(a) is probably not a big deal unless you're really tight on budget.
(b) is probably not a big deal either because he should be good enough to stick in the majors once he gets there, so options will be a moot point.

(c) he'll use 1 of your 40-man roster spots
