I have run a low salary-cap franchise league before with year restrictions, but I wanted to run a high-salary one and disprove the myth that the Yankees would win every year. To be fair, I think we would have to limit the number of franchises, based on how long they have been in existence. Also there would be a progressive blacklist twist to it, where each year, the top salaried position player and pitcher for that franchise for any year would be blacklisted for the next year. The team that wins the league has its top two salaried position players and pitchers for that franchise blacklisted.
For example, for Yankees, highest WIS salary for batter is 1921 Babe Ruth at $17,817,715 so all Babe Ruth seasons for the Yankees would be blacklisted the next season. The highest pitcher is 1904 Jack Chesbro at $16,949,596, so all Jack Chesbro seasons for the Yankees would be blacklisted the next season. The following season, the next highest batter/pitcher would be blacklisted, regardless of whether that player was on a team or not up to that point.
$200M Salary/No need for AAA/Trades/Waivers with a salary cap that high. There is no live games restriction.
Your park would have to be a park that your franchise played in at some point during their history and I'd love creative team names with your team somehow incorporated.
I am up for your thoughts and/or comments regarding the number of teams to make this fair and on how to do the divisions (randomize/come up with divisions prior)
Right now, these teams are available, with WIS availability:

That would be 16 teams. If we add any more, the next four would be the early 1960s expansion teams (Astros, Angels, Mets, Rangers) if people would be interested in taking one of those four. Let me know what everyone thinks and if you want in, name your team. The next post will be the owners and the teams. I'm excited to see if we can get this going.
