ok, sept call ups have hit and the rosters have been expanded.  I know I read somewhere that you can bring guys up and then ship them back down and they don't take a demotion hit.  My question is can I bring up a SP for a spot start and send him back down immediantly following the game and still recieve no demotion hit.

Also, same situation, I brought up a RP and he recieved a promotion bump in ratings, will he have a demotion hit if I send him back down?

Demotion hits seem to depend on the player's patience and makeup ratings.  But, in answer to your question, yes, you would risk demotion penalties for demoting any player during the season.

In my experience, demoting from BL after roster expansion does not result in a demo penalty.

I think the concensus is you WILL risk a demotion hit if you demote a september call up UNLESS you wait until AFTER the regular season has ended.
