**UPDATE**
Have to give CS some props. Sent in a ticket about this and they found a glitch and resolved the issue. Becuase I had recruited him for 2 years and offered a scholarship both years, the computer thought I had hit the class size limit so was blocking him from considering me. The CS rep quickly found out I wasn't hitting the class size max and corrected the error as well as indicating a program change would be made to prevent this in the future. Very prompt response from CS.
Got the guy to sign.
*********
Afraid I am going to lose a guy through a system glitch.
I am recruiting a player who seems like he is ready to sign (we are into day 2 of the signing period) but he is NOT EVEN listed as considering my school. I tihink this is a mistake but wanted to get other opinions. I've only ever seen messages like this from people who were strongly considering my school. BTW: I have had a schollie offer out since first recruiting cycle.
8pm 11/3: SCHOLARSHIP OFFER - "Coach, I'm really on the fence right now - you've said everything I needed to hear, but so has another school. I can definitely see myself playing for you next year. I just can't decide yet."
8pm 11/3: HOME VISIT - "Coach, I've been a fan of Roanoke since I was little. Thanks for taking your time to visit with my family. Now they are as excited as I am!"
11pm 11/3: PHONE CALL - "Wow! His whole family was on the line talking to me! He really made it clear that he's our man even though he's still talking to some other schools. I think we have a great shot at {name deleted}"
11PM 11/3 PROMISED TIME - "Thanks for promising me time on the court to show my game next year. You know I'm gonna hold you too that, but just cause I'm pretty sure I'm gonna commit to you"
8am 11/4 HOME VISIT - "Coach, you're a class act and if the rest of the coaching staff and school are as dedicated as you, then I can't wait to play. Thanks for taking your time to speak with me."
Am I missing something? The player should be at a minimum considering me, and should really be signed. No school is listed as considering.
