Curious, if people out will start players based on matchups

So, if another team has a high scorer and you have a substitute that is real high on D would you start them. Of course, there are many factors including that subs offense numbers etc., but in general I was wondering do you all ply matchup over regular lineups

Also, do you adjust distro's according to defense ratings of opposing players

Lastly, any examples would be great

Only with/against man-to-man.  If I face a zone team with VERY good defenders on the perimeter I might drop the distro to my guards a bit and up it for the bigs, but in general I don't bother to change distros against the zone or the press.  Anti-press distros do lean a little more heavily on guards or any players who have above-average BH for their positions...   I will adjust distros some against man defenses and would certainly consider starting a better defender against an elite scorer if I were playing man.

It depends on my players.  If I have solid guys at each position, I would not fiddle my lineup and let the other guy adjust to me.  If, like this past season, I have a bunch of flawed young players with different strengths and weaknesses, I will change my lineup according the match ups.

I like to vary mine by matchup to a degree, but I also like moving players around even in and out of starting lineup when I can so that my CT and NT opponents will have a harder time figuring out what line-up we'll show...

Thanks for all the input. I think that I have a better understanding of how people handle the match ups. I have not seen to many results on match ups, but then again have not tried it much. It does make sense what type of D the other team is playing as well as mine and what type of players I have before considering line up and distro changes
