Does IQ accelerate more/at all if the offense/defense is played during a game/season, or is it solely dependent on practice time?

I might be wrong, but I think they improve faster by playing and
practicing the O/D during the season. That's what I been doing
with my teams.

they do improve by playing, but not as much per minute of PT as per minute of practice.
