Startegy help/confirmation? Topic

I'm looking to have some help thinking this one through.  Might be basic and obvious, but I just never thought about it or noticed the timing of things.

Lets say you have 3 scholarships to fill (D1) and with your conf winnings, you have 30K (for simplicity sake) to recruit.  Lets now say you signed all three guys for 15K.

Would it be beneficial to spend the money this year (after season starts) on Scouting for next year to avoid the rule of only getting to carry over a % of your left over bank?  It seems like a no-brainer but I do not know then the reduction in your money takes place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
beef

the $ get cut to 25% as soon as recruiting ends so you dont have to make any choice

It use to be you had a couple hour window to use left over money to scout for the 1st few seasons of FSS, but when CS found out about it they fixed it. Not sure why. This would fix the issue of the cost being to much IMO at least for me. I often have over 4k left over, which would be enough to scout all the states I need to and then have full budget next season. The cycle would just keep repeating itself, and I'd almost never have to spend my actual budget on FSS.
