Booster gifts showing up in History? Topic

Quick question if someone wouldn't mind. I just gave a recruit a booster gift, which I have never done before. I selected the gift from the drop down menu and clicked the button, but the booster gift did not show up in the recruit's history. Is this normal, or are booster gifts supposed to show up in recruiting history?

Thanks!

It should show up ...

In my experience, a guy will only act on 1 booster gift (the first one offered, and he will either accept or reject it).  If you then try to offer the same recruit more gifts, they do not show up (and I assume do not count, though I am not 100% sure about the extras not counting).

Still not showing up. Sent a ticket to support and have not received a response. I hope they plan to give me back the money I wasted on this recruit if he ends up signing before the problem could be resolved...

Do you have seasons remaining?

Success! Thank you furry_nips... I did not realize I needed to have seasons remaining. Obviously got the move in there a lot later than I would have hoped but hopefully I can still persuade the recruit to come to the dark side before he signs with someone else.

It would be great if they actually had some kind of popup that said you can't offer booster gifts without seasons remaining... instead it just acted as if the move went through and then didn't put anything into my history. Seems like a pretty simple change to the game to prevent people from making these kinds of mistakes, but I guess in theory I should have just read the rules a bit more closely.

I am pretty sure they do... Thats how I found out. I tried it a few seasons back with no seasons remaining, but they don't want you to kill the program and then leave them.

Furry is 100% correct.

I'm confused as to why anyone would use boosters, especially in D2.

Psychological report said he was materialistic, I was competing against about 4 other schools for a premium drop-down, and I was running out of money.

I got caught every time I did boosters, don't do it anymore.

I figured if there was a time to try boosters it'd be now. I've heard just as many stories of people who used boosters and never got caught. If I do, lesson learned. But frankly if they're in the game at all then they must pay off once in a while.

This post is cracking me up because a few seasons ago in D2 I decided to try boosters on a player. I wanted him more than any other player I had ever recruited and was in a battle for him. His Scouting report kept calling him materialistic and a player so I figured it would work.

I probably sent him 2 or 3 gifts, but never got an email and it never showed up in the history so I just figured it was like a *wink wink* thing and doesn't appear in history or writing anywhere. In the end I got the player, didn't get investigated and thought I had successfully used boosters and beat the system.

Turns out I just had no more seasons remaining at the time and they never went through.
