Permimeter Rating of 5, High Pot Improvement? Topic

I recruited this guy http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/RecruitProfile/Ratings.aspx?rid=1893787 and he has a high potential in his Perimeter Rating, but it is starting at 5.  Is that too low to really see an improvement or is it high enough that I can expect to see him into the high 20's-30's by sr year?

forget senior year, give him the practice minutes, and he can be in the high 20's (or more) by the end of his freshman season  - especially if his WE bumps up a little bit

edit: forget what I said and listen to nipps and billyg. this pretty much applies to any post I make.

I had a guy with 11 reb and high pot. I gave him 18 mins the first year and he went up 2. IIRC its even harder the lower it is. I have another guy who went from 1 to 6 in a full season with per, but that was with 22 mins into it and 85 WE with high pot.

when i get 5 potential high categories i just give them 0 and let them drop to 1 because they never amount to anything anyway. i guess with nothing else to practice i practice it but that doesn't seem to happen very often.

I would put some minutes into it to bump it up a little. Once it hits double digits (maybe mid-teens) it will really pick up.

Example is this guy. Obviously high-high in LP, +12 so far after 11 games. I started him with 18min for 8 games, and when I realized his other stats pretty much stopped growing, upped it to 30 for 2 games, and now at 25 since I want to get his defense and stamina up a little higher.

Thanks for the responses.  I recruited him treating it as a 1 rating non factor but thought it would be nice if he could grow in the area.
