I have used just one pitcher as a pinch hitter and none as a runner or def. replacement, so I wish the settings screen would default to nothing checked instead of everything checked. that's all-thanks

I think he's saying that, on the player settings screen, pitchers default (when the recs button is pressed) without the PH and PR columns checked.  I guess I'd agree for AL teams but perhaps not for NL teams.

I'm saying that at the start of every season the "players setting" page defaults with every box (PH, PR, Def Rep) checked. Any time you look at the rec's they check again. Maybe it's just me but I've never had many pitchers I wanted to use as pinch hitters or runners and never had one I'd use as a defensive replacement and I'd rather not have simmy using them either, so I un-check 36 or so boxes X  5 levels. I consider it a pain the the arse and it really ****** me off when it fails to save and I have to do it all again. It seems to me the default for these boxes could just as easily be blank so that you check only those you actually want to use, that's all. It's certainly no big deal but since this is a suggestion page I made one that seems simple and would save a little time and a lot of annoyance. 

Uh, the boxes don't mean "USE the player AS a pinch hitter, or pinch runner" . . . the boxes mean "REPLACE the player WITH a pinch hitter, or pinch runner".

I would think that you would want to leave them checked because I doubt that you (or anybody) would really prefer to have your pitchers hitting or running in a late-inning high-leverage situation when you have better hitters/runners on the bench.

I'm guessing that "defensive replacement" doesn't really come into play for pitchers.
